This research unit specializes in the complexation of macrocyclic rings with metal ions, aiming to develop novel radiopharmaceuticals—compounds incorporating radioactive metal ions (e.g., silver-111) for imaging and therapeutic applications.
Our work encompasses:
- Synthesis of macrocyclic rings
- Thermodynamic characterization of metal-macrocycle complexes
- Kinetic studies on complex formation and dissociation
To achieve these objectives, we employ advanced analytical techniques, including potentiometry, UV-Vis spectroscopy, NMR, mass spectrometry, cyclic voltammetry, EPR, and X-ray crystallography, complemented by DFT calculations.
