Food Event for Saturday Evening 19/09

Arriving in Padua before Sunday? Take the chance to enjoy some authentic local flavours at “Bigoliamo con OPSA in Prato”, a food event in the spectacular setting of Prato della Valle. A tasty and informal way to discover local cuisine before the conference begins — while also supporting an OPSA fundraising initiative. Link HERE

The menu offers several Venetian specialities, including sardee in saor, sardines marinated with sweet-and-sour onions; baccalà mantecato, a creamy whipped cod spread; and bigoli, a thick local pasta served with tomato, vegetables, anchovy sauce, or duck ragù. Main courses include seppie in tocio, cuttlefish slowly cooked in a rich sauce and served with polenta; baccalà alla vicentina, cod prepared in the traditional Vicenza style; and fried fish or grilled chicken. You can also try a classic “panino onto”, a hearty sandwich with sausage, wurstel or porchetta, plus grilled peppers, onions and cheese, and finish with a slice of cake, fruit salad or gelato.

All members of the Spin Chemistry Committee present in Padua will serve as jury members for the poster and flash talk awards.
There will be four awards for the best posters (two from the IES and two from the University of Padova) and two awards for the best flash talks (one from GIRSE and one from the University of Padua).
